The CTE Digital Electronics program, housed within the School of STEM at 午夜福利短篇 is growing leaps and bounds.
Under the direction of professor Glen Graham, the program has proudly awarded the first recipient of military articulation platform (MAP)-generated credit for military training to student Darrell Palmer. Palmer is a 午夜福利短篇 student and a U.S. Army veteran who already earned 17 units toward his Digital Electronics associate degree. In Fall 2017, 午夜福利短篇 began developing the Military Articulation Platform鈥攁 cloud-based system that allows evaluators and faculty to match military training with college courses and give veterans the college credit they deserve.
Additionally, for Fall 2020, the Digital Electronics program creatively provided lab kits for students to continue hands-on learning at home due to campuses going online due to COVID-19. The lab kits provided students in electronics courses everything they needed to connect circuit networks and take measurements with real test equipment and components.
鈥淩eal hands-on circuit hook-ups with real tactile testing and measurements in all my online courses should attract many more students who were disenchanted by the loss of hands-on labs due to COVID-19," said Glen Graham.
