Event Planning
There are many steps to hosting an event on-campus. Please see below for a step-by-step checklist to guide you in planning your event. For contact information and detailed guidance and instructions, please reference the guide that follows the checklist.
To define your event, know the following...
- The type of event (meeting, student activity, celebration, etc.)
- Event title
- Date and time
- The audience
- Number of people attending
- Location and the capacity of the location
- If the location is indoors or outdoors
- If you will need a computer classroom with computers for your participants
- Resources (such as canopies, tables, chairs, trash cans, sound system, microphones, OWL camera, generators, A-frames, backdrops, etc.)
- Reserve your location in 25Live. Log into 25Live using the MyApps portal () and clicking the 25Live app.
- Click the Event Form icon in the upper-right corner of the menu.
- Double-check the availability of the location (if it is a classroom) using the CSPU report from Colleague.
- Select available resources from the Resources Search on the Event Form, using "Norco" or "IMC" as keywords and click Search.
*NOTE: Reservations are subject to approval by the Instructional Technology Specialist (for classrooms) or NC Facilities (for resources). Events may need to be relocated to accomodate classes updated on the class schedule.
Request NC Facilities by using to add Setup Time and Takedown Time in the Additional Time section of your Event Form.
If you are an outside organization requesting to use a location/facility on campus, please fill out the following form:
* If you have any questions, please contact Travonne Bell at (951) 235-1310.
Golf Cart Requests
Golf carts will be requested in (only accessible within RCCD's network) by selecting golf cart in the category section. Please select the golf cart type that you will use in the symptom section. For additional details please write them in the maintenance request section, including the time and days you will be utilizing the golf cart.
Check-In/Check-Out Procedures
Golf carts and their chargers will be housed at the Operations Center. Each day, the golf carts can be checked out by the person submitting the request beginning at 8am. To check them out, a log out sheet will be signed and the key will be issued by Facilities. The golf carts should be returned by 4pm. If anyone in Facilities is not available for check in, the departments should utilize the key drop box located at the Operations Center. With the exception of Health Services, NO golf carts are to be out on campus overnight.
Submit a Work Order
Please submit a work order for any issues concerning buildings, landscape, and safety issues. Everyone is welcome to identify cleaning, maintenance and safety issues; use of the Footprints work order system is the most efficient means to address these issues.
All work orders will be processed in a timely manner, depending on the work order number. Faculty and Staff can follow progress on requests which have been submitted. The system automatically sends an email to the person who submitted the request as changes to the request are made and completed.
If this is an urgent issue, please call the facilities main line: (951) 372-7120
Use of Facilities
District facilities are available for community use when such use does not conflict with District programs and operations.
Facility use shall be limited to places and times identified by the College Chief Business Officer, or designee.
Please contact the Facilities Administrative & Utilization Specialist at: (951) 372-7089 or the Facilities main line: (951) 372-7120 for more information, and to begin your request process.
As a Community entity, to request the use of a facility at ÎçÒ¹¸£Àû¶Ìƪ, please complete the ÎçÒ¹¸£Àû¶Ìƪ Facilities Request & Hold Harmless Forms and return it to the Business Services office. The form is a two page document and must be signed, front & back prior to submission.
